In the latest edition, we visit Mel’s Drive-In, Bossa Nova Brazilian Cuisine, Oh! Crab and Corner Joint.
1. Mel’s Drive-In
In 1947, Mel Weiss and Harold Dobbs opened the first Mels drive-in restaurant in San Francisco and was a hit all over the city. After 1976 unfortunately Mels hit hard times and closed. Then in 1985 Steven Weiss and Donald Wagstaff decided to bring Mels back into San Francisco and now have expanded to Southern California. Mels strives to keep the spirit of the classic American diner and home style cooking alive in well. They have the classic burgers and fries and home style cooking that even your grandparents will love.
2. Bossa Nova Brazilian Cuisine
Bozza Nova has everything from pasta to homemade artisan pizza to our famous grilled dishes and are all prepared fresh to serve. They have over 25 years of experience where they provide great food, excellent value and a fun atmosphere for everyone.
3. Oh Crab!
Oh! Crab specializes in Cajun-style boiled seafood where the feature Dungeness and King Crab, Lobster, Crawfish, Shrimp and more. You can get it with a variety of sesoning choices from mild, hot and holy crab hot. They have 8 Beers on tap and cocktails if it gets to hot for you.
4. Corner Joint
Corner Joint was built with the idea of providing a relaxing hangout spot so you could take in some delicious food and throw back some cold brewskies. They serve an array of specialty pizza, pasta dishes, sandwiches and much more! In the bar you can find your favorite beers, wines and specialty cocktails.
