Welcome to the April edition of SABÉ Spotlight, where we take you on a culinary tour and show off some of the finest SABÉ cocktail/food pairings we find. This month, our journey includes Mexican, Greek, American, Japanese, BBQ and more… Cheers!

1. Baby Blue’s BBQ, Echo Park

SABÉ Sweet Tea and Chopped Brisket Sandwich

Baby Blue’s BBQ has a great location in Echo Park with open-air porchfront seating! The menu is a potpourri of Southern cuisine, ranging from traditional BBQ, ribs and catfish, and the sides include everything from collard greens to stewed tomatoes. If you’re heading to a Dodgers game, be sure to check out the pre- and post-game specials and activities (cornhole, outdoor grilling, etc.).

2. The 8th Notch

Smoked Copper Lemonade and K-town Wings

The anchor restaurant of the all new FOOD at 3500 Wilshire, The 8th Notch serves up a fantastic array of Southern/Korean fusion. From house-smoked brisket to spicy fried chicken to K-town wings (pictured) to the spicy turkey dip, there’s something for everyone, and an assortment of SABÉ cocktails pair beautifully.

3. Corazon Cocina

Sayulita Ceviche and Sabe Blanco Margarita

Located in the energetic Santa Barbara Public Market, chef Ramón Velasquez’s Corazon Cucina offers up some of the best Mexican food you can find anywhere. Their ceviche (pictured) is fantastic, and the menu features a terrific assortment of meat (chicken, pork and steak), fish/seafood (octopus, lingcod, shrimp) and vegetables.

4. The Six Chowhouse

12650 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604

Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich and Sabe Flight

An excellent gastro pub located in Studio City, The Six Chow House offers up a really nice mix of sandwiches, burgers, pizzas and salads, along with an array of SABÉ cocktails to pair them with. And it’s always a good idea to get started with the sides, including buffalo cauliflower and crispy Brussels sprouts.
