Dec 20, 2018

Welcome to part two of the December edition of SABÉ Spotlight, where we take you on a culinary tour and show off some of the finest SABÉ cocktail/food pairings we find. This month, our journey includes pizza, salads and… cheesecake?!?!?

Asian Chicken Salad with SABÉ Blanco “Some Like It Hot”

Renowned Los Angeles caterers Bites & Bashes have a fantastic café in Lomita, featuring sandwiches, salads and entrées. The cuisine options are incredibly varied, ranging from Korean spicy pork banh mi to falafel to Moroccan chicken. Featured here is the Asian chicken salad with romaine, wonton crisps, almond, carrot, onion, and sesame vinaigrette. Pairing beautifully with it is the Some Like It Hot cocktail, which includes SABÉ Blanco, lime, agave and jalapeño.

SABÉ Margarita and a Margherita pizza (San Marzano tomato sauce fresh Mozzarella, fresh basil, olive oil and sea salt)

Located in San Ramon, this neighborhood gem specializes in Neapolitan pizza, which features the colors of the Italian flag: Green (Basil), Red (San Marzano tomato sauce), and White (Fresh Fior di Latte Mozzarella) finished with olive oil and sea salt. Featured with it is the SABÉ Blanco Margarita. This Margherita/Margarita combination can’t be beat!

3. Pueblo Tapas, Costa Mesa

The SABÉ Sergio Smash (made with SABÉ Copper, muddled lemons and mint) pairs beautifully with the goat cheesecake and burnt cheesecake at Pueblo Tapas.

A terrific Spanish restaurant located in Costa Mesa, Pueblo Tapas serves out a wide range of delicious flavors, from the Ceviche de Mariscos (seafood ceviche) to meat and cheese boards to paella. Of course, SABÉ cocktails go well with all of that… but Pueblo Tapas took things another step further, developing a cocktail to feature with their desserts! The Sergio Smash (made with copper, muddled lemons and mint) pairs beautifully with the goat cheesecake and burnt cheesecake (pictured).
