Spotlight: February 2020 (Part Two)
The latest edition of our culinary tour takes us to Spitfire Grill, Anaya’s, The Small Café and Taproom Pizza… cheers!
1. Spitfire Grill
The Spitfire has been around since 1954 (it was previously known as Lindaire Coffee Shop). After 1991 it was named renamed Spitfire in homage of Santa Monica’s aviation history. In 1995, the dining area expanded and a bistro feel emerged. Now the restaurant is filled with WWII military and Douglas Aircraft memorabilia and a very family friendly feel. People travel to eat here all the time due to the nearby airport and soccer fields.
2. Anaya’s Restaurant
The Newest restaurant from the Anaya Family brings authentic flavors from Mexico to Pasadena. Anaya is owned by three brothers who – after working in many years in other restaurants and businesses – decided to open something in the community with the best authentic Mexican food. Anaya Pasadena is their new location, and it’s selling out every night.
3. The Small Café
The Small Café, owned by Carrie Small, is a beloved neighborhood café eatery on Naples Island. The Small Café was opened in 2000 to be a place for people to come and eat hearty, home-cooked meals in a family-friendly environment.
4. Taproom Pizza Co.
Taproom Pizza Co. believes in preparing fresh ingredients with passion, bringing people together with great music, flavorful food, and an inviting atmosphere. Whether you’re stopping in for a slice, date night, or bringing the whole family for dinner, Taproom Pizza Co. welcomes you to make us YOUR neighborhood pizza place.
