Spotlight: Summer 2020
The latest edition of our culinary tour takes us to Café on Lemon, Restaurante Los Anaya, Vibes Beach Café and The Hook & Plow. All of these restaurants have ample outdoor seating so you can dine out safely during the pandemic. Cheers!
1. Café On Lemon
Opened five months ago off Main Street in Monrovia, Café on Lemon is a local-owned business that knew exactly what everyone was needing. It’s a great brunch spot with delicious food options from Belgian waffles to delicious pastas. They have created an entire drink menu dedicated to everything from creative cocktails to creamy citrus lattes. This is a place you want to come, sit in a booth and relax with the friendly atmosphere.
2. Restaurante Los Anaya
Restaurante Los Anaya brings authentic flavors from Mexico to Pasadena. Anaya is owned by three brothers who – after working in many years in other restaurants and businesses – decided to open their own restaurant in the community and serve the best authentic Mexican food. Anaya’s Pasadena is their newest location, and it’s selling out every night.
3. Vibes Beach Café
Vibes Beach Café offers a terrific gathering place for the community to come together and share an excellent meal. Each item is locally curated and sourced with the planet in mind and supporting small business. Vibes is a neighborhood fast casual café on the Long Beach peninsula with the coastal California inspired menu.
4. The Hook & Plow
The Hook and Plow focuses on sourcing their seafood, meats, produce and other ingredients as locally and organically as possible. They pride themselves on their warm and casual environment, excellent service and great food.
